This page explains what cookies are, which ones Mainspring uses on this website, and what you can do about them. We've kept the language straightforward — no legal jargon where plain words will do.
What Are Cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. It sits in your browser and can be read back by the same website on a future visit. Cookies can't run code or carry viruses — they're just text.
Websites use them for practical reasons: keeping you logged in, remembering preferences you've set, and understanding in broad terms how people navigate the site so it can be improved. Some cookies are essential for a site to work at all; others are optional.
The choices you make on this page apply to cookies on mainspringl.cyou. You can change your mind at any time by returning here.
Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
Always active
These are required for the website to function. Without them, basic things like the contact form, page navigation, and security checks won't work. You cannot switch these off.
Examples: session identifiers, security tokens, cookie consent record.
Duration: Session (deleted when you close your browser) or up to 12 months for consent records.
Analytics Cookies
Optional
Help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages get the most attention, where people arrive from, and how long they stay. The data is aggregated and doesn't identify you personally.
Examples: Google Analytics (_ga, _gid), page view counters.
Duration: Up to 24 months for persistent analytics identifiers.
Marketing Cookies
Optional
Used to show you relevant advertising on other websites after you've visited ours. They track activity across sites so ad networks can build a profile of your interests. Switching these off means you may still see ads — just less relevant ones.
Examples: Facebook Pixel, Google Ads conversion tracking.
Duration: Up to 90 days for conversion tracking; up to 24 months for retargeting.
Preference Cookies
Optional
Remember choices you've made on the site — such as your region or language settings — so you don't have to set them again each visit. Disabling these means the site may not recall those settings.
Examples: Language selection, regional display settings.
Duration: Up to 12 months.

Some cookies are placed by services we use rather than by Mainspring directly. These third parties have their own privacy policies, which you can review on their websites.

Your Rights
